Carmen holds a B.A. in Psychology from Biola University. She is currently pursuing her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Carmen desires to provide holistic care that heals, encourages, and strengthens all areas including mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spiritual issues. As a Christian therapist, Carmen recognizes the importance of providing evidence-based therapies in an ethical manner while also incorporating biblical values such as love, compassion, and faith into the healing process.

Carmen was raised in Germany as a missionary kid and is fluent in German. As an adult, she has lived overseas in both Central and Southeast Asia as well as various parts of the United States with her family. Her experiences with varied cultures have allowed Carmen to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual and family, and she aspires to provide genuine, culturally sensitive care in a warm, supportive environment.

Carmen has a passion for assisting missionaries and MKs dealing with cultural adjustment, marital and parenting difficulties, as well as other trauma, grief or loss related to these experiences.

As a mother, Carmen has parented through childhood and adolescence. She is interested in helping parents and children develop good communication and bonding, as well as adolescents and students, with the struggles that young emerging adults are faced with. Carmen also has experience navigating adoption issues and would feel honored to partner with clients in this wonderful and challenging journey as well.

Carmen valued her time overseas and loves to travel when possible. She enjoys spending time with family and in nature, reading books, swimming, and dancing.
