Kelsey Hankins, M.A., M.B.T.S.
Clinical Focus: Trauma (EMDR), Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Spiritual Issues, Relationship Concerns
Kelsey holds two master’s degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary: a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Biblical and Theological Studies. She believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to counseling where clients can curiously explore their concerns in a safe, warm environment. Kelsey is committed to offering evidence-based treatment and deeply respects each person’s spiritual beliefs.
Kelsey’s work with college-aged students further developed her skills in helping those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Her overseas experiences as a missionary and role as a pastor’s wife have developed a passion for serving those seeking missionary care or experiencing spiritual issues.
Kelsey has completed basic training in EMDR therapy and is pursuing EMDR certification. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective treatment for trauma and difficult life circumstances. She is a certified facilitator in RelateSTRONG, a marital program built upon theology and Restoration Therapy to address identity issues while facilitating emotional and behavioral changes.
In her free time, you can find Kelsey drinking coffee while enjoying her Australian labradoodle’s company, traveling to new places with her husband and son, spending quality time with friends and family, or serving in her local church.
