Angie Holloman, D.N.P, PMHNP-BC
Angie is currently accepting new patients for medication management and functional psychiatric care.
Angie brings nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare to her role as a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She recently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, and has a background in surgical services, women's and children's health, nursing education, and mental health, with additional education and training in functional medicine and integrative and nutritional psychiatry.
While working with Syrian refugee women and children in the Middle East, Angie developed a passion for helping individuals affected by trauma. This experience was the inspiration for her desire to become a psych nurse practitioner and learn how to better assist those suffering from mental health issues.
As a nurse practitioner with a functional and integrative approach, Angie collaborates with patients to uncover the root causes of their mental health issues. She believes in treating the whole person to address mental health issues and not just the brain, understanding that as whole, integrated beings, we cannot treat symptoms or body systems in isolation. She utilizes a variety of methods for bringing about lasting changes, including nutrition, gut health, lifestyle modifications, exercise, nutrient supplements, and medication. She has a particular interest in working with individuals who desire to use lifestyle changes to positively impact their health and wellness. She also believes very strongly in the value of counseling and therapy as key components to mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.
Angie has four children, two sons-in-law, and one precious grandchild. She enjoys crafting and creating things out of fabric, leather, cashmere, wool, and many other things. She loves to be outdoors, especially sitting around a fire with family and friends. She’s also a little bit of a nerd - persistently curious, with an insatiable desire to learn new things.
