Couples Therapy
As a practice led by marriage and family therapists, working with couples is our strength. We approach couples and families from a systemic perspective that recognizes that we all exist in overlapping systems of identity and influence. Life can be complicated, and our approach takes into account those complexities and helps you understand the influences that have shaped you throughout your life and are influencing your current interactive patterns. Our counselors are very committed to the “us” that couples bring to the counseling room. We take a balanced approach that avoids taking sides or placing blame. We focus on creating authentic connection and unity of purpose between spouses, even while working through past injuries and hurts that may be quite severe. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for couples, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and biblical concepts of covenant love, forgiveness, and mutual respect and submission are some of the approaches we use.
