Andrea Fowler, M.A.
Clinical Focus: ADHD/Autism, Disabilities, Children and Adolescents, Premarital (SYMBIS), Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Anxiety, Depression
Andrea is passionate about empathetically guiding families, children, and individuals towards emotional, relational and spiritual healing. She loves to integrate creative, hands-on techniques with both children and adults to further the counseling process.
Andrea’s experience with children, teens and young adults with disabilities has developed her passion for supporting them and their families through the natural challenges they often face. Physical disability, ADHD, intellectual disability, or another severe mental health diagnosis can have a significant impact on an individual and those closest to them. Andrea’s gentle and compassionate approach helps her clients and their families find acceptance, support and meaningful connections by recognizing the distinct challenges they face and celebrating the remarkable strengths displayed in each unique family system.
Andrea has a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling and is pursuing dual licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has completed training to become IFS Informed™ through the IFS Institute. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a form of psychotherapy that helps people find connectedness and healing from deeply painful or traumatic life experiences. Andrea is a certified facilitator of SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts), which she applies in premarital counseling. Andrea also regularly consults with Hill City's Registered Play Therapist™ to further develop her play therapy skills and techniques.
In her free time, you can find Andrea trying a new artistic craft, reading a good book or going on an adventure with her husband.
