Andrea Fowler, M.A.
Clinical Focus: Marriage and Family Therapy, Relationship Concerns, Premarital Counseling, Attachment Issues, Mood Disorders
Andrea holds a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and B.S. in Family and Child Development. She is pursuing dual licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Andrea is a certified facilitator in SYMBIS and Gottman Level 1, which are programs utilized to address premarital and marital relationship concerns. She is trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST), an excellent intervention program for persons considering suicide. She has completed training to become IFS Informed™ through the IFS Institute. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a form of psychotherapy that helps people find connectedness by accessing and healing their inner parts. Andrea also regularly consults with Hill City's Registered Play Therapist™ to further develop her play therapy skills and techniques.
Andrea particularly enjoys helping children, families and couples find healing, restoration and reconciliation. Andrea finds value in exploring her clients' inward holistic experiences as well as gently and compassionately healing childhood wounds. She also loves to integrate creative, hands-on techniques with both children and adults to further the healing process.
Andrea is passionate about empathetically guiding families, children, and individuals towards spiritual, emotional, and relational healing. She hopes to one day be able to provide workshops and therapeutic events for families who have experienced trauma. In her free time, you can find Andrea trying a new artistic craft, reading a good book or going on an adventure with her husband.
