Licensed Resident in Counseling

Clinical Focus: Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Spiritual Issues, Young Adults,
Couples/Families, Premarital Counseling (SYMBIS)

Ellen has an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a Licensed Resident in Counseling. She formerly worked as a middle and high school teacher where she built strong relationships with students and families, a skill she now brings to her role as counselor. She sees it as an incredible privilege to walk alongside clients in their struggles--getting to know them at a deep level and valuing their unique gifts, experiences, and perspectives.

Ellen has helped clients dealing with relationship conflicts, life transitions, and the often- overwhelming emotions associated with anxiety, depression, and trauma. By experiencing a safe therapeutic relationship, clients make discoveries about what they want and need and find healing for wounded parts of themselves. Ultimately, they can take what they have gained in therapy to achieve their personal and relationship goals.

Ellen has been married to her husband Andy since 1993 and is the proud mom of three wonderful young adult children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening and dancing to music, hiking, and listening to podcasts on faith and mental health.
