Maryl Rozelle, M.A., LPC
Clinical Specialties: Perinatal Mental Health, Depression, Anxiety, Missionary Care, Couples, Substance Use, Trauma (EMDR)
“I believe that counseling should be a place where anyone can be known, understood, and safe. Your experiences and life should mean something to the person sitting across from you. When we can find acceptance and rest in that space, healing can happen. I hope we can collaborate together on your treatment and grow toward healing and wholeness.”
Maryl is in the process of completing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) working with the perinatal population (including mothers, caregivers, and partners) as they navigate the complexities, hurts, and blessings of conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing through a holistic approach.
Before coming to Hill City, Maryl has spent the past eight years working at Virginia Baptist Hospital (and continues to do so) providing mental health care for inpatient psychiatry of all ages and residential substance use treatment. These incredible experiences have given her the opportunity to work closely with client’s experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, mood disorders, substance use, and more.
She also recognizes the great need for mental health support for missionaries and expatriates going through life transitions, perinatal matters, parenting challenges, marital stressors, and acculturation.
When not in the office, Maryl enjoys filling her home with plants, taking long walks, and spending time with her family.
